From 1994 thru 2004 Tom entered into the fields of software application development and information technologies. During this period Tom was Configuration Manager for a retail banking systems developer, IT Manager for the largest architectural/engineering firm in New Mexico and a Senior Software Engineer with Intel Corporation.

Tom was the Executive Director of the Intel Innovation Center at the Rio Rancho campus for over 2 years. He promoted innovation and creativity among Intel employees to generate new concepts, intellectual property, usage models and products. As Innovation Center Manger, Tom reached out to the community and supported collaboration within New Mexico between public and private entities on new innovative technologies.

Tom then served as the Intel New Mexico Data Center Manager. Tom was responsible for managing all of the data centers on the Rio Rancho Intel campus. Tom influenced the global Data Center Hosting organization by winning the 2010 Intel Environmental Excellence Gold Award for creating and driving an innovative process to reduce energy used by data centers.
